Gary Daly
Principal Solicitor

Gary qualified as a solicitor in 2001 and founded Gary Daly & Co in 2006. Gary specialises in the areas of insolvency and corporate litigation and has huge experience in property and commercial transactions having provided legal advice for several years in connection with NAMA-related transactions and loan portfolios.

Gary also has a very keen interest in human and civil rights and has been involved in many civil society campaigns and is a committee member of the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign and has been involved in extensive political lobbying and pressure groups over the years.Gary has been involved in sports all his life particularly Gaelic games and boxing and is a former chairman of Civil Service Hurling Club and Park Rangers Gaelic football club and a current committee mender of the Boxing Union of Ireland and Smithfield boxing club and has provided legal advice to various sporting organisations and sportspeople. Gary is also a qualified boxing coach.

Seamus Hempenstall
LL.B., LL.M., Trainee Solicitor

Seamus joined Gary Daly & Co. in August 2017 as a Trainee Solicitor and has gained invaluable experience in a broad range of general practice within the firm and has gained immense exposure to the Courts through General and Commercial Litigation.

Seamus’ particular areas of interest and expertise include Corporate and Commercial Law matters, Corporate and Personal Insolvency, Employment Law, Litigation, Personal Injury (Plaintiff and Defendant) and Immigration & Asylum Law.

Seamus achieved a First Class Honours in his LL.M. dissertation which focused on the impact of the Economic Recession on the Judiciary and their changing perspectives in relation to the Restriction of Company Directors under Section 819 of the Companies Act 2014.

Throughout his time in college, Seamus was heavily involved in the WIT Law Society and the European Law Students Association (ELSA), representing his students as an ELSA Committee member at both National and International Level.

Mary Needham
BCL MSc Solicitor

Mary qualified as a Solicitor from the Law Society of Ireland in 2002 and has gained considerable experience both in-house and in general legal practice. Mary works primarily in the areas of Commercial and Residential Conveyancing. Mary is also a committed FLAC Volunteer Legal Advisor since 2012 at the Free Legal Aid Centre, Dorset Street and recipient of the FLAC Volunteer Gold Pin Award in 2015.
